Joomla 1.5 Presentation at NYPHP

 

Big Image  Former Joomla! core developer, Mitch Pirtle, will present the new features and capabilities in the 1.5 release. This release is built upon a completely re factored core system. Joomla! is a rich CMS (Content Management System) framework that facilitates rapid, feature rich development with a flexible and powerful API suited specifically for third party developers.

Learn how the new system was designed, by hearing anecdotes and seeing examples provided by Mitch. He will present some walk-throughs of implementations of third party plug-ins and provide case studies on how to develop to the new API, providing examples of developers leveraging the latest features and additions to the core.

PHP 5.1.4 Fixes Critical Bug

A critical bug with $_POST array handling and a problem with the Fast CGI sapi were discovered in PHP 5.1.3. A new release 5.1.4 has been made available to fix them. All PHP 5.1.3 users should upgrade to this release as soon as possible.

PRADO 3.0.1

PRADO version 3.0.1 has been released!
Version 3.0.1 contains some bug fixes and many enhancements. It includes a complete web log demo which should be a good 'jumping off' point for PRADO experimenters

A few new supporting components were also added to this release.
